DAPHNE  CAYO 

Daphne Cayo is a dynamic force in the world of film and television, known for her versatility as a producer, writer, and director. She holds a BFA in Film & Digital Production from Miami International University of Art & Design, where she honed her skills and passion for storytelling. Following her graduation, Daphne embarked on a career that led her to work with the prestigious casting agency Ellen Jacoby Casting in Miami Beach, Florida, where she played a pivotal role in casting for major motion pictures, national commercial campaigns, television series, and print.

 

Her talents expanded beyond casting as she took on the role of Producer and Production Coordinator for the Miccosukee Magazine TV docu-series. In this capacity, she was responsible for overseeing a diverse range of projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and liaising with commercial and governmental entities at all levels. Her expertise in research design and management was instrumental in the success of the series.

 

Daphne's creative prowess extends to international collaborations, including her work on the Nolly-Hollywood film "Turning Point." As a writer for this acclaimed film, directed by the award-winning Niyi Towolawi and featuring Jackie Appiah, Oge Okoye, Enyinna Nwigwe, and Patience Ozokwor, Daphne contributed to its critical acclaim and numerous award nominations, ultimately winning Best Drama, Actor, and Director awards.

 

Daphne's journey in the film industry has taken her around the globe, where she has made significant contributions to various projects. She has traveled to Kenya and London, serving as an assistant director for the film "Pearls of Africa," a captivating production directed by Sharon Agina. Daphne's role in this film allowed her to immerse herself in diverse cultures and landscapes, enriching her storytelling abilities. Her international adventures continued as she took on the role of assistant director for the film "Scarlett" in Italy, further expanding her horizons and experiences in the world of cinema.

 

In addition to her global endeavors, Daphne works closely with director Des Grey of Foreign Made Film, collaborating on projects in both Miami and Atlanta. This partnership showcases her commitment to creating compelling and engaging content that resonates with audiences worldwide. In all her endeavors, Daphne brings a unique blend of passion and creativity, driven by her deep faith as a Child of God.

 

She sees her work in audio-visual production and preservation as a way to honor and celebrate the beauty of His creation, infusing her projects with a profound sense of purpose and meaning. Through her travels and collaborations, Daphne Cayo continues to be a driving force in the film industry, bringing her unique vision and passion to every project she undertakes.
